He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis Kirkland and Annis Kirkland of Elba; and his brother-in-law Fred Tillman of Valparaiso, Florida.. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Kirkland of Elba, Alabama; his daughter Amy Kirkland Turner (David) of Millbrook, Alabama; his granddaughter Addy Turner of Millbrook, Alabama; and his sister Dianne Tillman of Valparaiso, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elba Church of Christ or the Elba Food Bank, where Jerry served for decades.
