As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Marilyn may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Hancock of Elba, AL, Donna Horn (Jim) of Troy, AL, Elisa Bruce of Troy, AL, Kay Sanders (Steve) of Elba, AL, Craig Boswell of Elba, AL and Todd Boswell of Elba, AL; and her nephew Johnny Hilson. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery (26836 AL-87, Elba, AL 36323).
The family request the omission of flowers and ask that memorials be made to a local Humane shelter, or to the Zion Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
