“To Sharon, Tommy, all the McSwain sisters and John: This is a very sad time for all of us, but when we think about it, it should also be joyous. My memories of Rexine are full of laughter, joy and love. She was a road warrior with me numerous times to come to North Carolina and Alabama. She would hum when she thought I was getting tired so I wouldn't fall asleep, and also, she provided me comforting words when I needed a listening ear.. I thank God and Rexine for all the precious memories.”
