He was predeceased by: his parents, Idas Eugene Smith and Pearlie Eulalia Carter Smith; and his brother Oliver "Lamar" Smith. He is survived by: his children, Steven Ray Smith (Simona) of Elberta, AL and Janice Marie Smith Nugent (Mark) of Jacksonville, FL; and his grandchildren, Farrah Leighann Nugent, Mark Ryan Nugent, Steven Ray Smith, Jr., Georgia Elena Smith, Nicolas Matteo Smith and Samuele Marco Smith.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501).
