Gwendoline leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Gwendoline’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Gwendoline will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Wathey and Doris Wathey; her husband Hubert O. Haney; and her son Michael W. Haney. She is survived by: her sister Rose Lovett (Brian); her daughters, Teresa Beverly (Eddy) and Lisa Haney (Rodney Giese); and her daughter-in-law Cindy Haney. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home (27186 Main St, Ardmore, AL 35739). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Ardmore Veteran's Museum, located at 26301 Hamlett St. in Ardmore, TN, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
