She was predeceased by : her parents, Luther David Wales and Nellie Mae Wallace Wales; her husband Frank G. Mitchell; and her siblings, Herbert Wales, Royce Wales, Tula Mae Wales and Rachel Pressnell.

She is survived by : her children, Harlan Mitchell (Deborah) and Glenda Brown (Bob); and her grandchildren, Beth Reed and David Mitchell. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home (27186 Main St, Ardmore, AL 35739).
