She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Taylor and Ruth Whittaker Taylor; her daughter Carrie Ward; and her brothers, Donny Taylor and Jeffrey Taylor.

She is survived by: her husband David A. Silva; her daughter Christian Silva; her siblings, David Taylor (Donna), Steven Taylor, Russell Taylor, Karen Sproul, Gail Kubek (Paul) and Susan Taylor; her grandchildren, DeVandre Silva-Mays (DJ), Ayana Pinkston, Zachary Ward and Alyssa Ward; and her great grandchild David Jordan Silva-Mays. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
