Ruthie Turner Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 18, 2020, at the age of 86, Ruthie Turner (Elmore, Alabama), born in Langley, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Milford Stephens and Lillie Mae Stephens (Jenkins); her husband George Ernest Turner; her son George Turner Jr. (Barbara); and her granddaughter Wendy Sears.

She is survived by: her children, Diane Bates of Sylacauga, AL, Kenneth Turner of Opelika, AL, Robert Turner (Karen) of Opelika, AL, Paul Turner (Terrie) of Opelika, AL, Betty Barnes of Opelika, AL and Mark Turner of Opelika, AL; and her close friend Tish Allred of Opelika, AL.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the East Alabama Humane Society, 712 13th St E, Phenix City, Alabama 36867, either by mail, phone or online donation.
