She was predeceased by: her parents, Delma Aschenbrenner (Deines) and Hank Aschenbrenner; her husband Donald Schaefer; and her children, Jacob Jay Schaefer, David Randall Schaefer, Russel Ray Schaefer and Delma Marie Muhle.

She is survived by: her grandson Matthew John Muhle; and her siblings, Duke Aschenbrenner (Joanne Aschenbrenner), Bonnie Kay Kanouse and Nancy Lynn Larson.
