She is survived by: her mother Mary Merritt; and her aunts and uncles, Doristine Sankey, Patricia Wright, Rene White (Bryant), Juanita Merritt, Walter Franklin (Doris), Raymond (Sarah), Franklin, Ronnie Franklin (Brenda), Clinton Franklin (Melanie), Varnor Merritt (Annie) and Catina Tyson (Danny). She is also survived by loving cousins, friends, and her beloved FAMU family.

Her manifold contributions to the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) ecosystem garnered national acclaim as a Modern‑Day Technology Leader at the Black Engineer of the Year Awards STEM Global Competitiveness Conference and the Technology Rising Star laurel at the Women of Color STEM Conference.
