We announce the death of Deborah Reed Hammonds Brown of Enterprise, Alabama, born in Elba, Alabama, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 66. Deborah will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her sister Ann Hammonds. She is survived by: her daughter Sarita Rhodes-Vivour; her son-in-law Olu Rhodes-Vivour; her grandchildren, Kholie, Ari and Amina; her friend Edward Marshall Brown Jr. (Debra Fay Brown); her siblings, Marion Reynolds (Perry), Edwina Williams, Hazel Youngblood, Peggy Evans (Melvin), Sethelo Hammonds (Jackie) and Gloria John; and her brother-in-law Leu Hammonds. She is also survived by many extended family members, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Coleman Funeral Home (701 Daleville Ave, Enterprise, AL 36330). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Johns Chapel AME Church (605 Geneva Hwy, Enterprise, AL 36330).
