She was predeceased by: her parents, Marlyn McWaters and Carolyn McWaters. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Merrill Barron; her sons, Jeremy Barron (Laurie) of Eufaula and Eric Barron (Emily) of Dothan; her siblings, Christine Schumacher (Steve) of Jacksonville, Rosemerry Strickland (Rodney) of Woodstock, Georgia and David McWaters (Dianne) of Enterprise; her grandchildren, Rebekah Barron, David Barron, Luke Barron, Sarah Patterson (Dylan) and Mark Hawthorne; and her great grandchildren, Eden, Elliott, Emma and Esther Patterson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Enterprise (4550 Boll Weevil Cir, Enterprise, AL 36330). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her honor be made to the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child ministry of First Baptist Church of Enterprise, 302 North Main Street, Enterprise, AL 36330, a ministry that was very dear to Diana.
