She was predeceased by: her husband James Harold Oates; her son Wayne Oates; her grandsons, Jason Oates and Andrew Oates; and her siblings, Ray Howell (Lillian), Robert Howell (Margaret), Mellie Stephens (DT) and Olene Howell (Chick).
She is survived by: her sons, Harry Oates (Gina) of Enterprise, AL and Steve Oates (Rita) of Enterprise, AL; her grandson Michael Oates (Lauri) of Panama City, FL; her great grandchildren, Ally, Endia, Mathew, Aubrie, Molly and Emily; and her brother Ed Howell (Pat) of Millbrook, AL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
