She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lee and FloreeParmer; her husband Reverend Joseph Ellington III; and her siblings, Willie Henry Grays, Harvey Parmer Sr., Etherine Broomfield (Clarence), Loretta Fleming (Z. I. Fleming, Jr.), Dr. Edward Lawrence Parmer, Sr. (Mary) and Delarie Parmer (Katrina).
She is survived by: her son Derek Ellington (Schelitha); her stepdaughter Angela; her grandchildren, Jalen Ellington, Devonta Ellington, Stedman Ellington, Theron Ellington, Courtney Shelton (Sharmonika), Kimberly Street (Wesley) of Elston and Shelton, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Worthy of Collin's IV, Amora Shelton, Envia and Julian Shelton; and her sister Margaret Parmer. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
