He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Hancock, Casey Lait (Mike), Denise Andrews (Wes), Alison Hynes and John White (Amy); his sister Helen Williams (Williamete); and his grandchildren, John "Charles" Hancock, Samuel Hancock, Kimberly Wallace, Douglas Hancock, Suzanne Reynolds, Danielle Scafidi of Richard Jeffery, Browne, Scott Browne, Krista Hamilton, Katie Foley, Chase Payne, Kros Payne, Will White, Tenley White, Colin Hynes and Brynna Hynes. He is also survived by his 27 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (123 Heath, Enterprise, AL 36330). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memory Gardens (531 US-231, Ozark, AL 36360).
