He was predeceased by: his parents, Camiel "Mill" DeSchepper and Sadie DeSchepper (Cleppe); and his siblings, Barbara Mitchell, Glenn DeSchepper, Richard DeSchepper and Donald DeSchepper.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanette DeSchepper of Enterprise, AL; his sons, Michael Mell DeSchepper (Fredia) of Enterprise, AL and Brian James DeSchepper of Tuscaloosa, AL; his grandchildren, Johnathan DeSchepper, Anna DeSchepper, Vicki DeSchepper, Ryan DeSchepper, Lee Jenkins and Rachel Jenkins; and his great grandchild Natalie Jenkins.

The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise from 10:00 a. m. to 10:30 a. m. Masks and social distancing will be required to attend these events.
