She was predeceased by: her former husband Rufus William Knotts; her husband Edmond Simmons; her children, Erma Nell Hardy, Katie Ann Knotts and Joseph E. Knotts; and her siblings, Maudie Rea Gouldin, William Thomas Daniel and H. K. Daniel.

She is survived by: her son Randy Knotts (Ann) of Andalusia, AL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
