She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Allen and Irene Allen; her husband Johnny Carr; her siblings, Idell Jones, Tolbert Allen and Lamar Allen; her granddaughter Mandy Lopez; and her stepdaughter Rachel Norwood.
She is survived by: her sons, John Carr (Teresa) and David Carr (Theresa); her stepsons, Joe Ivey (Marilyn) and Huey Norwood; and her siblings, Annie Simmons (Calvin) and James Allen (Carol). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory (4550 Boll Weevil Cir, Enterprise, AL 36330). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorene's memory to New Home Baptist Church at 43 Co Rd 620, Enterprise, AL 36330 .
