He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Alan Eckland and Barbara Ann Benjamin Eckland; and his sister Lynda Louise Viera. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Belle Thompson Eckland; his son Harold Robert Starbird of Wasilla, AK; and his siblings, Marla Ann Barnett (Larry) of Corona, CA, Debbie Susan Schweiger of Warrenton, MO and Jim Eckland (Debbie) of San Dimas, CA. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
