It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyra Baker Boyd of Enterprise, Alabama, who passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Lyra's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Lyra's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may she find rest in the embrace of eternity.
She was predeceased by: her husband Julian Herbert Boyd; and her son-in-law Robert Charles May. She is survived by: her children, Susan May, Norma Desert (Tom), Lyra Fran Nelson (John), Julian R. Boyd (Debra) and Ray T. Boyd (Sherri). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
