She was predeceased by: her father John Johnson; her husband Franklin Massey; her sons, Michael Phillip Norton and Jeffrey Allen Norton of Gainesville, Florida; and her brothers, Ralph Johnson and Glen Johnson of Upsala, Minnesota..

She is survived by: her son Richard Norton (Tina); her stepson Eric Massey (Dawn); and her sisters, Mertha Flaten and Doris Dybing. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
