He was predeceased by: his father Melvin May; his sister Rita Adams; his brothers-in-law, Wayne Adams and Rex Bass; and his mother Juanita May.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Boyd May of Enterprise, AL; his sons, Boyd Jason May (Brandy) of Enterprise, AL and Brent Allan May (Connie); and his sister Carol May Bass of Enterprise, AL. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
