The memory of Virginia Barnes Herring of Enterprise, Alabama, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. B. Barnes and Willie Pearl Barnes; her husband Leamon Herring; her siblings, Edgar, Donald, Reuben Barnes, Maxine Barnes and Betty Hudson; and her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Barnes, Nancy Barnes and Clara Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Howell (Randall) of Enterprise and Donnie Herring of Enterprise; her brothers, Doug Barnes (Gayle) of Level Plains, Tony Barnes of Enterprise and Dewey Barnes of Opp; her grandchildren, Wesley Howell (Olivia), Hannah Roy (David) and Elizabeth Allums (Josh); and her great grandchildren, Brinley, Lyla, Anderson, Sawyer, Jesse, Benny, Ruby, June and Beau. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Home Baptist Church (2734 County Rd 617, Enterprise, AL 36330). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Home Cemetery.
