She was predeceased by: her parents, J. B. Barnes and Willie Pearl Barnes; her husband Leamon Herring; her siblings, Edgar, Donald, Reuben Barnes, Maxine Barnes and Betty Hudson; and her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Barnes, Nancy Barnes and Clara Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Howell (Randall) of Enterprise and Donnie Herring of Enterprise; her brothers, Doug Barnes (Gayle) of Level Plains, Tony Barnes of Enterprise and Dewey Barnes of Opp; her grandchildren, Wesley Howell (Olivia), Hannah Roy (David) and Elizabeth Allums (Josh); and her great grandchildren, Brinley, Lyla, Anderson, Sawyer, Jesse, Benny, Ruby, June and Beau. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
