With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Joan Spaeth of Equality, Alabama, born in Batavia, New York, who passed away on October 23, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, David Spaeth and Arlene Spaeth; her brothers, Robert Spaeth and Dennis Spaeth; and her nephew Stephen Sims.

She is survived by: her nieces, Stephanie Daniels (Donny), Jennifer Nix (Brian) and Brandi Myrick (Richard); her nephew Robby Spaeth (Mary Frances); her great-nephews, Barrett Spaeth and Boak Sims; her great-niece Hope Sims; her sisters-in-law, Susan Spaeth and Vera Spaeth; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Carlee Sides, Allyson Daniels, Amelia, Gavriel Nix, Walt and Grayson Myrick.
