She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Bentley and Hawkins; and her brother Gene Bentley. She is survived by: her children, Tina Lee and James Day (Danielle); and her brother Lamar Bentley. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
