With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gwendolyn Iona Eaton of Eufaula, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2026 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Robert Lee and Nancy Elizabeth Dixon Smith; her son Tim Eaton; her siblings, Nancy Hartin, Robert "Buddy" Smith and Kenneth Smith; and her boyfriend Larry Sawyer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Kaye Wilson (Pete), Sherry Elizabeth Hooks (Tony) and April Gwendolyn Adkison (Nick); her sister Marcia Robinson; and her grandchildren, Kelly Carter, Timothy Phillips, Dylan Tyler, Ashlee Tyler, Jayleigh Adkison, Carley Adkison, Faith Adkison and CJ Adkison. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; several beloved nieces and nephews.
