He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas, Sr. and Mattie Elizabeth James Methvin; and his siblings, James Thomas Methvin, Jr., Joseph Milton Methvin, Ray Methvin, Jerry Methvin and Vivian Tetro.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby J. Sanders Methvin; his children, Robin Keith Ammons (Danielle), W. Gail Mathis (Walter) and Lynne A. Scott (Richard); his brother Kenneth Kelly Methvin (Teenie); his grandchildren, Jared R. Mathis (Brittany), Jordan A. Scott (Julia), Mallory R. Scott, Tyler M. Ammons (Meredith), Patrick E. Ammons (Mallory) and Alec J. Ammons (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Macy J. Mathis, Cameron J. Mathis, Harper J. Scott, Sage O. Scott, Hazel G. Ammons, Walker J. Ammons and Lincoln O. Ammons. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 12:30 PM at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel (3121 S Eufaula Ave, Eufaula, AL 36027). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (774 Co Rd 9, Louisville, AL 36048).
