Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Mary Lou for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Arnold and Emma Wilma Kraft Rutherford; and her husband Terrance Eugene "Terry" Shaw. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Hana Marie Priest, Mary Parker Priest and Joseph T. Ritter; and her siblings, J. A. Rutherford (Connie) and Linda May Waters (Ronnie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel (100 E Fair St, Eufaula, AL 36027-9537). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (101 E Barbour St, Eufaula, AL 36027).
