With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Greta Mae Smith Bambarger of Eutaw, Alabama, who passed away on August 11, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jim "Bam" Bambarger; her parents, Elam Smith and Vesta Smith; and her siblings, Aloma Johnston (Jack) and Yvonne Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Bridgett Monk (Derek) and Leslie Abernathy; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Monk, Scott Monk (Zessie), Berkeley Gamble (Jonathan) and Jackson Abernathy; and her pet Dodger. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Union Christian Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or a charity close to your heart.
