He is survived by: his father Emern Argus Holmes Sr.; his wife Regena Shadix Holmes; his daughters, Kimberly Dawn Norrie (Keith), Kristi Darleen Holmes Landers (Michael) and Kari Danielle Sharbutt (Rob); his sisters, Judy Fortenberry, Sandy McCleskey and Cathy Turner; and his grandchildren, Danielle Miller (Jake), Seth Dunn (Brylee) and Claudia Sturtevant (Drew).
