It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elbert Danny Covin of Evergreen, Alabama, who passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Tracy Covin; his parents, Tiras Covin and Almettie Covin; and his siblings, Mabry Covin and Lennie Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Covin of Evergreen; his sons, Tim Covin (Audra) of Evergreen and Toby Covin (Jill) of Athens; his grandchildren, Pierson Parker of Athens, Averie Covin of Athens, Wyatt Covin of Athens and Lisa Ripple (Brandon) of Mobile; and his sister Jemmie Faye Beesley (Hyram) of Evergreen.

In leiu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to Lyeffion Baptist Church Youth Fund.
