He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Cook O'Ferrell; his parents, James Curtis O'Ferrell and Brownie Aarons O'Ferrell; and his sister Jeanette Griffin. He is survived by: his sons, Steve O'Ferrell (Lesley) of Defuniak Springs, FL and James Douglas O'Ferrell Jr. (Stacey) of McKenzie, AL; his siblings, Robert Wayne O'Ferrell of Elba, AL, Katherine Milton of Lowndesboro, AL and Sybil Bradfield of Sisterville, WV; and his grandchildren, Josh O'Ferrell, Andrew O'Ferrell and Bailey Ann O'Ferrell. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and many special close friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cope-Keahey Funeral Home Chapel (705 Perryman St, Evergreen, AL 36401). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
