She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Franklin Byrd and Ethel Irene Byrd; her sister Kathleen Furches; and her granddaughter Jenna Tuberville. She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Joanna Varner (Kenneth) and Robert Rabren (Linda); her grandchildren, Dawson Varner, Kailyn Varner and Jasmine Tuberville; her great grandchildren, Jayden and Samuel Cook; and her siblings, Mary Thornton, Flora Nell McCutcheon, Mae Ola Cobb, Dan Byrd, Ethel Faye Maldonado and Ronnie-Murrell Byrd. She is also survived by mom's daily caregiver.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sepulga Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
