She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Whatley; her parents, Laban Johnston and Thelma Wilson Johnston; and her siblings, Wayne Johnston and Kathleen Betts.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Skodack (Mark), Sherri Daugherty (Ryan), Kelly Pettit (Kevin) and Paige Gasser (Hunter); her grandchildren, Alyson Skodack Burkett (Brian), Travis Skodack, Kyle Daugherty (Holly), Cullen Daugherty, Kara Pettit Nippert (Ben), Turk Pettit (Makenzie), Elise Gasser and Will Gasser; and her great grandchildren, Watson Burkett, Lillian Burkett, Ada Grace Nippert and Poppi Pettit. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Evergreen First United Methodist Church (118 Desplous St, Evergreen, AL 36401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
