He is survived by: his father Jimmy Sloan; his siblings, Bruce, David Sloan and Lyn Sloan; his children, Ray Sloan (Alisha), David Sloan (Tara) and Rachel Sandmeier (TJ); and his grandchildren, Savanna Sloan, Madelynn Sandmeier and Clint Sloan.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be given in Matt's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
