She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nevels and Ollie Nevels of Fackler, AL; her husband Fred G. Casteel, Jr.; and her brother Larry Nevels. She is survived by: her children, David Wayne and Freeda Gayle; her grandson Dylan Casteel (Rachna); her sisters, Jo Henegar, Frances Mitchell (Leon), Ann Culpepper and Bonnie Downey (Ricky); and her caregiver Kimberly Jelks. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
