With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Joe Royster (Fairhope, Alabama), born in Ashland, Alabama, who passed away on July 26, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Billy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Billy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Royster and Estin Royster; and his siblings, Mary Nell Brooks and Thurman Junior Royster. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Royster; his daughter Sandra Royster of Daphne, Alabama; his grandson Jeffrey Beck of Daphne, Alabama; and his nephews, James Brooks (Judy) of Ashland and George Brooks (Patsy) of Oxford, Alabama. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
