Genevieve touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Genevieve’s presence will be missed, the influence she had on others will remain. Those who knew her will carry forward memories that reflect her character and spirit.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Ronald "John Henry" Johnson; and her parents, Mickey Smith (Jane Houser) and Donnie Smith (Donald Henry). She is survived by: her sisters, Lilly (Lillian Smith Clementi) and Franney (Jane Frances); her brothers-in-law, Vito Clementi and Michael Schulz; her niece Janie Schulz (Jane Frances Houser); and her nephew Donald Smith Schulz. She is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Athelstan Club (170 St Francis St, Mobile, AL 36602). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
