He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Evans Nelson; his children, Jonathan Fabbretta Nelson (Christy) and Regina Nelson Florey; his brother Larry Nelson (Virgina); and his grandchildren, Mary Ann Florey, Cecilia Florey, Jonathan Nelson Jr. and Sophia Nelson.
