As John Morton departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John Morton may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John Morton leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Cherkofsky and Naomi Cherkofsky. He is survived by: his wife Helen L. Cherkofsky; his daughters, Susan Samry (Alan Samry), Pamela Cherkofsky and Paila Cherkofsky; and his brother Saul Cherkofsky (Marge Cherkofsky). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery (34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, AL 36527).
