She was predeceased by: her parents, Tweed Childress and Maxine Childress; and her husband David Chavous, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Shauna Chavous (Barclay), Samantha Newsome (Stephanie) and Billy David Chavous, III (Mariah); her siblings, Darryl Childress, John Eric Childress (Patti) and Marie Childress (Joey Bragg); her grandchildren, Allana, Jace, Jeremiah and Callaghan; and her nephews, Colby Childress of Fairhope and Bailey Childress of Fairhope. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Fairhope Chapel (19698 S Greeno Rd, Fairhope, AL 36532). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
