With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Leon Whitley of Fairhope, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 15, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eulie Whitley and Estelle Whitley; and his brothers, James, Uzell, Melvin, Billy and Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Whitley; his daughters, Lisa Bates (Jim) of Fairhope and Robin Schwartz (Paul) of Fairhope; his grandchildren, Erin Bates Csubak (John), James C. Bates, III (Abby Grace), Ellen Schwartz, Jordan Schwartz and Jason Schwartz; and his great grandchildren, Zoe Kate Csubak, Ethan Csubak, Jack Csubak and Louise Bates. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
