With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sally McClure Whitlock in Fairhope, Alabama, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on November 30, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Major Gary Brown Whitlock; her daughter Ellen Whitlock Baldwin; her grandson Allen Matthew Barber; and her parents, William Melvin McClure and Lura Reid McClure.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beth Bowen (Dale) of LaGrange, Georgia and Lydia Barber (Jeff) of Daphne, Alabama.; and her grandchildren, Nicki Bassman (Matt) of St. Charles, Sara Lyttle (Bret) of Niceville, Daniel Bowen of Jacksonville, Tim Bowen (Tara) of LaGrange, Zack Bowen of LaGrange, Katie Bowen of LaGrange, Georgia, Josh Baldwin (Alye) of LaGrange, Taylor Barber of Murfreesboro and Jackson Barber of Daphne Alabama. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity that was very dear to Sally's heart, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
