He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie McKenzie Burmeister; and his siblings, Fred T. "Fritz" Burmeister and Viola "Vi" Johnston. He is survived by: his children, William "Billy" Burmeister (Kim) of Fairhope, Ronald "Ronnie" Burmeister (Tania) of Hazlehurst, MS and Katrina Schonemann (Doug) of Fairhope; his grandchildren, Peter Burmeister (Amy), Peyton Smith, Tara Cantrell, Roger Schonemann (Allison) and Shelby; and his sister Gloria Davis (Bobby).
