He was predeceased by: his father A. C. Sims; his brother Johnny Bickerton; and his grandchildren, Kaleb Owens and Mia Rose Sims. He is survived by: his wife Willie Mae; his children, Chad Sims (Amber), Dana Owens (Randall) and Susan Ingle (Rodney); his grandchildren, Haleigh Stidham (Gabe), Kinley Owens, Emma Kate Sims, Zack Ingle and Alex Sims; and his sisters, Nell Cain and Laura Bowles (Glenn). He is also survived by children, and his grandchildren.
