She was predeceased by : her parents, James Kimbrell and Marthelia Madison Kimbrell; her husband Ulyses Grant Thornton Sr.; and her grandson Ulyses Grant Thornton III. She is survived by : her sons, Ulyses Grant Thornton II of Fayette and Garry Thornton (Charlotte) of Berry; her granddaughter Chasity Thornton Hollis (Rodney) of Guin; and her great grandchildren, Haley Craig of Guin, Hanna Taylor Vernon (Cole) of Guin, Hallie Hollis of Guin and Haven Hollis of Guin.
