He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Jenkins and Ollie Jenkins; and his siblings, Hazel Hogue, Marcie Dacus, Travis Jenkins, Dennis Jenkins, Lindy Jenkins, Joe Ed Jenkins, Herschel Jenkins and Isadore.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Newton Jenkins of Fayette; his sons, John Edward Jenkins (Barbara) of Knoxville, TN and James Michael Jenkins (Carolyn) of Oxford, MS; his grandsons, David Jenkins (Stephanie) of Knoxville, TN, Paul Jenkins (Victoria) of Knoxville, TN, Jake Jenkins (Val) of Oxford, MS, Bart Jenkins (Molly) of Red Banks, MS and Thomas Jenkins of Olive Branch, MS; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Charlotte of Haley, R. J., Carson, Hadley, West and Collier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel (3659 AL-171, Fayette, AL 35555). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Fayette First Baptist Church.
