Johnnie Swiney Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Swiney of Fayette, Alabama, who passed away on March 24, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Swiney and Bertha Swiney; his siblings, Burton, James, Sam, Billy, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Faye, Edna and Mollie; his grandson Tristen; his mother-in-law Mary; and his siblings-in-law, Trina and Jacob.

He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Tynissa (Donald), Melisa (Clint), John-David (April) and April; his grandchildren, Marlena (Chad), Hanah (Carson), John-Owen, Mary Piepho, Emma Piepho, Elijah and Caitlynn; his siblings, Robert Earl, Clarence and June; and his sister-in-law Angela. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Childrens Hospital in memory of J.B. Swiney.
