Lois Adeline Prewitt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Adeline Prewitt (Fayette, Alabama), who passed away on July 12, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Richard Thomas and Ressie Mae Norrell; her husband Charles Prewitt of Tuscaloosa; and her siblings, Evelyn Hollon, Magdalene McHearg, Amos Thomas and James Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Celeste Wyatt (Ferral) of Tuscaloosa, Gail Tait of Mobile and Richard Prewitt (Lisa) of Tuscaloosa; her grandchildren, Jennifer Blackwell (David), Kristin Orr (Jon), Amelia Driscoll (Scott), James'Bo'Tait, Charles'Chip'Tait (Rebecca), Aiden, Lauren, Tait, Deuce, Mattie Adeline, Luke, Frank, Christian, Dakota, Judah, Layla, Elijah, Olivia, Isaac, Zelekai and Zosiah; her sister Margie Louise Hardy (Charles Thomas) of Camden; and her friends, Willie Lowe (Tony Richter), Sarah Spencer, Janene Paramore, Christina White, Jacques Emplaincourt, Michael Davidson and Sharon Shepherd. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
She carried on through the covid epidemic despite long lonely hours of isolation and took the cancer treatments in stride.
