He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Howton and Ola Howton; and his brother Larry Howton. He is survived by: his wife Mammie Sanford Howton of Fayette; his children, Cassandra Leigh Howton (Sandy) of Sheridan, AR and Dr. Russell Warren Howton of Jasper; his sisters, Jewel Tate of Fayette, Kathleen Robinson of Winfield and Dora Hobson of Duncanville; his sisters-in-law, Nerlean Howton and Eva Nell Terry of Fayette; and his brothers, John Gilbert Howton (Shirley) of Trussville, William Howton (Janice) of Florence and Billy Joe Howton (Vicki) of Fayette.
